Scott “Scotty” Edward Jones, age 64, passed away on July 1, 2025, in Worcester, MA. Born on May 1, 1961, in Newton, MA, Scott lived a life full of movement, laughter, and deep connections, always chasing the next adventure and the next good conversation.
Scott proudly served in the United States Navy from October 1983 to October 1986, a time he spoke of often with pride. After his service, he found his calling as a car salesman, where his charm, humor, and love for classic cars made him a natural. He had a gift for making people laugh and feel at ease—whether on the lot or at the kitchen table.
A passionate collector, Scott filled his life with treasures from the past: model ships, classic car memorabilia, and more pictures than anyone could count. He loved long walks, building models with patience and care, and spending time with those he loved most. He had an unmatched gift for storytelling and could talk your ears off in the best possible way.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Donald Jones (August 24, 1930 – May 23, 2017) and Norma Jones (May 24, 1933 – December 14, 2011). He is survived by his children, Ashley Settle, Cody Myers, and Darrell Chapman; his loving partner, Evelyn Dillon; and many extended family members and friends who will miss his quick wit, loyalty, and boundless warmth.
Scott leaves behind a legacy of laughter, loyalty, and love. He touched more lives than he likely ever realized, and his memory will live on in the stories, smiles, and hearts of those who knew him.
